Cookie Policy
This page lists every cookie this site can set, and what each one is for. It reflects the services currently enabled rather than describing a generic worst case.
What is set right now
Third-party cookies require separate consent
Configured services stay off until you opt in to their separate purposes. The table below describes what may be set after acceptance.
Cookie names used by third parties are theirs to change; the table names the ones in common use rather than guaranteeing an exhaustive list.
The categories
A cookie is a small piece of text a site asks your browser to store and send back on later requests. What matters is not the mechanism but who can read it and what it is used for.
Essential cookies
Required for something you explicitly asked for. On this site there is exactly one: the admin session cookie, which exists so that signing in to the admin panel lasts longer than a single page load. It is signed, marked HttpOnly so JavaScript cannot read it, and scoped to the /admin path so it is not sent with any other request.
No consent is required for a cookie of this kind, and no ordinary visitor ever receives one.
Analytics cookies
Used to count visits and see which pages are worth improving. Google Analytics is configured but needs separate third-party consent before loading. Advertising signals are disabled. First-party operational analytics are separate and use no tracking cookies. They count only allowed tool identifiers, interface language, fixed triggers and outcomes after opt-in. Input, output, file names, sizes, options and raw errors are not sent. The privacy policy explains retention and reporting limits.
Advertising cookies
Set by an ad network to deliver ads, limit how often the same ad is shown, and detect fraud. Advertising is not enabled here, so no advertising script loads and no such cookie is set.
If advertising is enabled in future, this page and the privacy policy will be updated to describe what the advertising partner collects and the controls available to you, and where applicable law requires consent before such cookies are set, consent will be requested before they are.
Storage that is not a cookie
Your versioned privacy preference is kept in local storage rather than a cookie. It contains separate consent choices and revision information, not a visitor identifier or anything you converted. Clearing browser data removes the preference. If storage cannot be read or written, optional tracking stays off.
How to control cookies
Use Privacy preferences in the footer to accept, decline or withdraw separate purposes. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control override optional tracking. Revocation clears pending operational observations; earlier actions are never replayed. If third-party code was already loaded, revoking it reloads the page to stop that code, which clears unsaved tool content. Browser controls may be needed to remove existing third-party cookies.
Every major browser lets you view and delete cookies, block third-party cookies entirely, or block all cookies for a specific site. These controls are under Privacy in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and under Safari's Privacy preferences. Blocking everything from this site costs you nothing except the ability to stay signed in to the admin panel.
The tools themselves work with all cookies blocked, because none of them depends on a cookie. Processing happens in your browser either way.
If advertising is ever enabled, personalised advertising can be turned off across Google products in Google's own Ads Settings, independently of anything this site does.
Questions about any of this can go through the contact page. The privacy policy covers what is and is not collected more broadly.
